There are some different types of redirects available and they all work in different ways. Some, like the 301 redirect, are much more SEO friendly than a few of the other options. This is a permanent redirect and for people who only want a temporary redirect, the 302 is by far the best option. They aren’t beneficial from an SEO standpoint, but they’re still the quickest and easiest of the redirect options, where temporary changes are concerned.

You can implement a redirect fairly easily on most servers, including Apache, as long as you follow the proper steps and make sure you pay attention to what you’re doing. By handling things this way, you’ll have your redirect working in no time and it won’t cause any problems for customers. That’s something that everyone who uses the Internet can be glad about.
