If you want to make friends with Google there are a few things that you can easily do. First, you have to create a site that people like and want to go to. If you provide people with what they’re looking for you’ll get good traffic and you’ll also get links to your site from other places. That helps to build your page ranking and makes you more popular on search engines.

Getting other sites to link to yours is pretty important, because Google crawls the Web and the links make it easier to find your site. Natural links are the ones that you want. If you start buying a lot of links or placing links to try to make your site look more popular to the search engines it can really work against you. Your site will not rank as well and you might find that you have to make a lot of changes to make friends with Google again.
