The one thing about creating a video is that when you place it on YouTube you can gain an amazing amount of exposure for your company. If you are thinking of creating a new marketing and advertising campaign and you would like to place a video on YouTube then you should always know that more than one video is going to be recommended because you need to have a few different options for all of the viewers to get a feel for your company. If you have never done something like this before, you need to educate yourself about all of the wonderful options you too will have for you.

Learning About YouTube

YouTube is a wonderful website that has millions of videos. The first thing you need to do is learn how to navigate YouTube. Getting the video downloader software that YouTube offers is always highly recommended because when you find a video that you want to watch repeatedly you already have it on your hard drive. Another thing that you should learn about is all of the different ways you can take you to and apply it to other formats. For instance you have the ability to turn all of your YouTube videos into MP3s, and that can be a huge benefit for you because you will be able to let all of your clients and customers know that very valuable information.

Filming Your Video

Always sure you spend plenty of time on getting ready for your video. You want the video to be well-written and also extremely creative when it comes to expressing all of the cool things about your company. The bigger the budget you have the more options you will be able to exercise however, making sure that everything is well put together is always going to be the biggest hurdle.

Once your video is on YouTube then you need to keep uploading videos so that your clients and customers have something to look forward to, and they can get much more familiar with your company and all of the services.

Without the utilization of software for reporting back to you all the in’s, outs, up’s and downs of your SEO position and performance how will you know what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong and what needs to be changed if anything?

It’s Important To Keep An Eye On The Position (Or Ranking) Of Your SEO

Do you know how to achieve a high ranking position for your SEO? You can go about it on your own with the assistance of reporting software or you can go through a professional business association to gather information, organize it, analyze it and then report back to you with results and recommendations. Analysis and recommendations serve as a type of support team for your SEO. The results come from looking at your SEO as it relates to using submission tools; analysis and key word research; analysis of your competitors; a performance rating; management and link building; and of course, the general ranking of your SEO. Can you track these on your own without the assistance of a professional association? Absolutely.

Top SEO Software Applications For 2012

Without promoting any of them here are the top rated software packages that will help you assess and improve the position of your SEO: Web Position; SEO Administrator; SEO Power Suite; SEO Studio; SEO Toolkit; SEO Suite; iBusiness Promoter; Advanced Web Ranking; and at number one Web CEO. Now—what will it cost you to purchase this software? Before I list any prices keep in mind that you’re basically paying a onetime fee in order to purchase and utilize the software; should you choose to employ a business to assess your SEO, it will most likely be a continuous process for which you will be charged monthly fees. The lowest price for a top listed SEO software that I could find was $250. The top price paid was a substantially higher $500.

You have to consider the importance of an SEO and its ranking or position. If you don’t have a concept of how vital SEO ranking is you cannot hope to grasp the need for analysis or tracking as it applies to the performance of your SEO. A little research via the Internet never hurts.

But how do you balance them? Do you just push your products as fast as you can? Or do you use clever techniques to pull in customers and get more business? This can be a delicate balancing act but it can definitely be worth it. The following can help in developing your prowess in the EG search marketing world.

Pushing Your Product With an Aggressive Plan

Push marketing doesn’t require the customer to actually ask for the product. You can feel free to push whatever initiative you have through clever marketing techniques such as promotions or reward programs. However, it can be less effective than pull marketing because customers didn’t necessarily want the product.

Pull Away From the Competition

A potential downside of pull marketing is that it can cost more. While it can be more effective because customers ask for the product and then you market to that need, it can cost more and you might not feel inclined to do it.

Whatever your need, you should balance pull and push marketing. It can have tremendous advantages in your business.

People are putting less chemicals in their bodies by going organic, they’re driving cars with fewer harmful emissions and trying to get extensive mileage from the gas they do burn; and everyone is trying to locate that seemingly unattainable… Inner peace.

Searching For Words Of Wisdom

If you can find your own set of words to live by, and actually do so, you’re way ahead of the game already. Displaying words of wisdom on your website no matter what your website represents, can give your viewers that little boost that they need to make it through their day. Be advised however that the old picture of the kitten hanging onto the tree branch for dear life with the words “Hang in their Baby, Friday’s coming” has about run its course.

Integrity; Wisdom; Peace Of Mind; Teamwork; Truth

We’ve all seen them: the big framed pictures of either majestic landscapes or man pursuing the greatness in his chosen field with one of these words in bold print. And beneath them, the most appropriate Meditation Quotes the manufacturers could come up with at the time. These are meant to be inspiring and are most frequently seen hanging in offices or other workplaces.
Some are nice, but if you’re considering posting one on your site you might want to try this: Click for great quotes about meditation. Try posting something new every day; or at least every week.

Over the last five years VOIP services have saved consumers millions of dollars per year as they have been able to make affordable calls to Europe, Mexico, Canada or France for far less than what the traditional phone companies charge.

Ease of Use

VOIP services are super easy to use and require minimal hardware installation (if any) to get started using them. There are currently dozens of VOIP based phone services available to choose from including ACN. The main benefit of a VOIP based phone service over a traditional phone service is flexibility. With VOIP you can take your number with you and make calls from any location that offers a Wi-Fi signal compared to always being tied down to your phone.

Available On Mobile Phones Too

If you have a smart phone you may be able to make calls on your VOIP service from your smart phone any time you want. This flexibility is a huge benefit to any consumer, especially businesses who want more freedom with their phone service and don’t want to miss any important messages when they are away.

With the release of the new .XXX domain name in December of 2011, Branson was shocked to see that his name was registered like so many other celebrities and his name richardbranson.xxx was now online. Eager to protect his name and other Virgin intellectual properties his company filed a complaint with the National Arbitration Forum, an organization that oversees domain name disputes.

Bing is new, new stuff looks shiny for a while.

Google is used as a verb instead of ‘searching’. Bing/Yahoo have a long way to go before they steal permanent market share. At this point I suspect Microsoft will shovel money into marketing for the next few years with no hope of generating anything close to a profit. They have a big stockpile of money, but at some point shareholders will complain. When the marketing ends, their product better deliver results as good or better than Google. I doubt that will be the case.

The search algorithm seems fairly straight forward for Bing. Unfortunately big company sites with huge budgets and blackhat auto link techniques will be more effective on Bing than Google.

My prediction: the simple nature of the search algorithm used by Bing will be either exploited and results will look like your email spam folder, or they will look like Forbes 500 list — neither is as useful as Google’s results.

The China Syndrome has taken on a whole new meaning. Not a movie with pretty faces, not a nuclear meltdown of molten material ripping through the earth’s core; it’s now the threat of World War Three in the form of a Hacker War, conducted in cyber space, that could happen in the course of a second without anyone knowing anything had occurred.

Believe it or not…in 2001, the White House web site was completely shut down thanks to a hacker war launched by thousands of people in China, then joined by people from other countries including Saudi Arabia, India and Argentina. These hackers turned the Navy website’s home page into the blaring phrase, “I Am Chinese!” Over at the Labor Department the main page screamed, “China Hack”. The National Business Center was dealt the worst blow with the proclamation, “Beat down Imperialism of American! Attack anti-Chinese arrogance!” Imagine how devastating this could all be if these hackers’ English grammar were as accurate as their computer acumen!

So why do Chinese hackers show such disdain towards America? It all started with an American spy plane crashing into a Chinese jet. The American pilot walked away unharmed while the Chinese pilot died, escalating the tension between the two countries. Many believe China is working towards world dominance in the electronics arena and sees the United States as their premier competitor. In the years following this initial Cyber War of the World, China has launched close to 100,000 computer attacks against the US. In 2005 alone, The Pentagon logged more than 79,000 attempted intrusions with a whopping 1300 successes.

Are these invasions orchestrated by the Chinese Government or the general populace of China? The PLA (People’s Liberation Army), is the unified military organization of all land, sea, and air forces of the People’s Republic of China. For years, it is believed that the PLA outsources its hacking efforts to individuals who are the winners of hacking competitions held throughout China. In Sichuan province, one such winner uses the nom de guerre Wicked Rose. He, or she, went on to set up a hacking business that penetrated computers at a defense contractor for the United States aerospace division. Wicked Rose is believed to be employed by The PLA. There’s no definitive proof which allows the Chinese Government to comfortably deny any involvement.

So how has the United States responded to this cyber espionage? Three years after the 2001 incident, the U.S. Government assigned ONE person to investigate.(He knew nothing about intelligence; his only qualification was that he could read and write in Mandarin.) None-the-less, he managed to retrieve names, photos, cell phone numbers, and the software used by the leaders of the hacker assault, after just one day on the job, by typing in the Chinese characters for “hacker” into Google. How Mickey Mouse is that!

The China Syndrome and its new meaning has brought on a new division of terror to our modern world. It can shut down a major corporation, derail a bank, and above all, it could start a New World War that could change the face of this earth. And you could be innocently sleeping when it all happens.

How many of you use Google all the time? Let’s get a show of hands. Let’s see…one, two, three, four…looks like a lot of you. Great, but maybe you should ask yourself why.

Why do you automatically turn to Google when you need to find information? The answer is probably habit. When you need to find something, Google just pops into your head.

However, new comers like Cuil, Trooker and Exalead want to break out of that bad Google habit and it only takes a quick stroll around any of their websites to see why Google won’t reign forever as King of the Internet.

How many of you know where that search engine that you look to for information on a daily basis, actually came from? How many of you actually care where it came from? No hands this time? That’s what I thought. But you should care, because it’s important, so pay attention…you just might learn something – like how and why Google’s going to be dethroned as King of the Internet Search Engines. But you’ll need a little background first.

Google got started – like most great inventions do – with a normal guy who had an idea. He told a friend about it, and then there were two guys working on the idea. Oh, and the fact that he was in college and doing this for his thesis, and had the help and support of an advisor and a school, and had access to all sorts of books and technology, didn’t hurt. His idea was to create a search engine based on a page rank algorithm instead of how many times a word was used on a page. What a novel concept. At the time, it really was. No one else had actually done that, and it paved the way for something big.

Larry Page (the guy with the idea) and Sergey Brin (the friend he told about the idea) were the original founders of what became Google – based on a misspelling of ‘googol,’ which is a number made up of ‘one’ with one hundred zeroes after it…but you knew that, right? Sure you did. Page and Brin based their idea on the logical assumption that a page with a lot of links to it about a particular topic, must be relevant to that topic. That completely made sense, so why had nobody else thought of it already? Easy. Because they were too busy saying Web pages should be indexed based on how many times a search word appeared on the page. This is also important, but not as much as it turned out, as the page link thing.

It didn’t take long for Google to get huge – enormously huge – and basically take over cyberspace. Google now runs more than half of all searches on the Internet; more than Microsoft and Yahoo! put together. Improvements are always being made to ensure that Google is as fast as it can be, and as accurate. It runs off of a big cluster of el-cheapo computers. One drops dead? No problem. There are a bunch more waiting to jump in and answer your query. To Google’s credit, it does let them replace parts without having to shut the whole thing down. Now that’s smart.

But have you figured out the head-fake? Google isn’t actually searching the Internet! No. It’s searching its own indexed and cataloged databases (three copies worth) with hundreds of computers at a time, so it can give you your results in 0.25 seconds. Where else can you get something worthwhile that performs that quickly? Nowhere, that’s where. Oh, and when it’s searching those databases, Google’s looking for character patterns, not words, so if you’re in a hurry and fat-finger something it will politely take the time to suggest what you might have been trying to say while it’s pulling up anything that matches what you actually said.

Contrary to the misguided beliefs of some die-hard fans, Google isn’t the only search engine out there. Yahoo! and Microsoft are the two other big search engines, and they want to merge. Google is trying to stop it, but the key is that Google really doesn’t care. It knows it can beat what’s been termed as a ‘Microhoo.’ It beats both companies on their own consistently, so only the misinformed would think that it can’t beat them if they’re together. Sometimes, a whole really isn’t more than the sum of its parts. Google’s interest is in slowing down the merger so it can make a lot of money off of people who won’t be trying the ‘new’ company because it doesn’t exist yet. That’s also smart.
See, Yahoo! has a problem. It started out so promising, but it’s not Google, and it shows. Yahoo! is struggling under the weight of junk ads and click fraud, and it doesn’t offer everything that its competitor does. It’s like comparing apples and oranges…or maybe something less desirable. Apples and prunes?

Google, on the other hand, gets part of its success from the fact that it’s just in so darn many places. There are lots of places out there where you can Google, but you can’t Yahoo! – like over 130 different countries. Really! That’s a lot of places for a company to not be in if it wants to succeed. Clearly, Google has the upper hand when it comes to moving into countries and getting its name and its capabilities out there.

As it stands now, Google is still the main source of internet traffic. When it comes to SEO, it is a good idea to keep this in mind. This may not be the case for long however. Remember, anything is possible on the internet and it is important to keep an eye on the future.

We’ve had this big talk about why Google is so great – and it really is pretty great – so why say it’s going to be dethroned? Because there are greater things out there. As soon as they catch on, Google will go the way of Yahoo! – not gone, but mostly forgotten. As an example of what’s about to step all over Google, take a look at a search engine called Cuil. It claims to search three times as many pages as Google. Why? Because Google, cool as it may be, isn’t keeping up! It doesn’t update as fast as the Web grows. That’s why it won’t stay king. Kings have to keep on top of what’s going on in their kingdom, and Google hasn’t been doing that. Without that vigilance, it’s going to be left in the dust. That’s already starting to happen. If you go to Google and your search results are hazy, it’s probably the dust cloud left by Cuil and others stampeding by.

So, what do the new kids on the search engine block have that Google’s missing? Lots. Visual searches that are, well, just stunning. Content-based searches that are relevant to the real world and not based on (a) how many keywords you’ve stuffed your page with, or (b) how many inbound (pagerank) links you’ve got. Faster Web crawlers. One hundred and twenty billion indexed pages. Oh, and they won’t save your user data and do stuff with it. They index the Web, not you. It may take a while – after all, Google didn’t conquer the ‘net and earn the crown overnight – but Cuil, Exalead, Trooker and many others, have made it past the moat and are scaling the castle walls.

Even though Google says that they talk about their ranking philosophy, some of it can still be confusing and there’s no real way to know if the company’s providing all the details or only a portion of what they actually do.

Originally they said that they had hundreds of reviewers who would make determinations as to how sites should be ranked, and that was how your Website got to the top (or the bottom) of the list. Now, they share more information about the algorithm that they use to produce the results that you get when you search for something – but they don’t really give the details.

Google doesn’t always return good results, either, and the company sees those times as a reason to adjust their algorithms and keep working to ensure that people get what they need when they search.

The company can’t give the specifics behind what they do and how they do it, though, or every search engine out there would be copying them. Despite the problems that they sometimes have with searches they’re still seen as being one of the best and most accurate search engines out there.

In early 2007 Google made changes designed to prevent Google Bombs from working. A Google Bomb is an abundance of anchor text links pushing a message unrelated to the web site’s actual content. Past Google Bombs have included the searches: “more evil than Satan himself” which brought up the homepage for Microsoft. “miserable failure” or “failure” bought up the official George W. Bush biography. “liar” leading to Tony Blair.

And now, “Dangerous Cult” is returning The Church of Scientology as the #1 result.

The Google Bomb is a clear example of what Google measures to rank web sites.

It’s unlikely that The Church of Scientology has pages optimized for “Dangerous Cult”, and yet, they are ranking #1 for this term today. Someone (the group known as Anonymous) has created a large number of anchor text links and pointed them at Scientology.org.

On the page itself, there is no mention of “Dangerous Cult”. However, the word “Dangerous” is on the page. “Cult” is not. Google’s algorithm decided the incoming links justified placing Scientology.org in the #1 spot. It appears anchor text not only outweighs content, but can still take the place of it!

* Use the powerful information with caution. It’s highly recommended that you use a professional seo company to run your online marketing campaign.

Yahoo floundered, MSN joined late in the game. And now, Google commands the search engine industry with over 50% of the total market:

[TABLE=4]

Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and Ask share 40% of the total searches, while Google holds over 25% more market share than those 4 top search engines combined!
